So my man Koe not only is he from my area of North East
Texas and his drummer Dre is actually from my good ole small town of Mt.
Pleasant he and my brother Bud actually went to high school together and
partied together before he was on the road.
I have to date December 9,2017 been to 6 of his shows. No I
am not tired of his shows, no they aren’t all the same, yes he can put on one
HELL of a show. He gives back stories about songs that I laugh at every time I
hear them, and I know every song he sings, I could probably tell you the set
list if I tried really hard. Last time I went my friends were asking if I knew
every single one of his songs, which I do, because he hadn’t played one I didn’t
sing along to. He drinks beer on stage cusses like a sailor and talks to the
crowd like he knows everyone of us and has for 20 years.
Even when you go to take pictures with him after the show he
hugs you like you’re best friends. Now that I’ve got a good brag in about Koe
lets talk music.
Koe has always been a wild child with a guitar, and you can
tell from his song. Literally one is titled “Song I Can Drink To” and its just
like it sounds like its all about “beer cans and whiskey bottle, back roads and
pasture party’s” those are literally lyrics from the chorus. This guy has Texas
country coming out of his veins. He literally took a shot from somebody in the
crowd at his Halloween Bash at Mardi Gras in Mt. Pleasant. Welcome to MP we’re
made of tacos and alcohol on Friday Saturday and Sunday’s. But none the less
you should at the very least grab some taco bell a beer and listen to his noise
complaint album it will make more sense once you get down to February 28th,2016.
